OVERVIEW
What is bindl?
bindl is a unified software platform that connects intake, operations, and casework. It is a modular platform designed for how social services organizations operate: you start with a foundation and add capabilities as you grow, with every module sharing data across your operation without duplicate entry or fragmented records.
The platform
The bindl suite includes Central (intake and client records), Shelter Ops (daily shelter operations), Casework (case management), Companion (a client-facing app), Community (cross-organization coordination), and Connect (managed care integration). Each tool works on its own and connects to the rest as you adopt more of the suite.
Why this exists
Most homeless-services software focuses on compliance and bed counts. Tools often sit in silos: fragmented intake, scattered paper records, and disconnected databases. Frontline staff re-enter the same data, lose hours to paperwork, and struggle to see where clients are or what progress has been made.
bindl replaces that fragmentation with one platform. Intake, operations, and casework share a single client profile, and everyday work like check-ins, bed tracking, and service logging feeds the reimbursement claims and HMIS reporting organizations already have to file.

Who it is for
bindl is built for organizations that run and fund homeless services.
Homeless service organizations
Shelters, housing providers, outreach teams, and day programs. bindl replaces paper processes, reduces administrative burden, and creates the documentation needed for compliance and reimbursement.
Continuums of Care and funders
Organizations that fund homeless services and need accountability: accurate reporting, reimbursement documentation, and system-level visibility, with coordinated entry running off a shared by-name list.
Where this work happens
Homeless service providers operate under the oversight of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and report through the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS). bindl is designed to work with HMIS, reducing duplicate data entry and supporting HUD reporting requirements.
Client records are protected with role-based access controls, encryption, and audit logging. bindl is HIPAA ready.
